WINE CARE

Featured Wines :: Live Music :: Facts & Toasts

It’s important to remember proper wine storage and handling (especially during the hot summer months) so here's a quick reminder. Actually, these tips are good to keep in mind year around.

Wine is most rapidly destroyed by the three enemies: light, heat, and movement.

We recommend that you think of your wine much like you would a wedding cake.  Ask yourself if it would make sense to leave a wedding cake in the direct sun.  No, it would not.  Would you drive around with the wedding cake in the trunk, rolling from side to side and getting all hot and icky?  No, that would be foolish.  The difference is, though, that a wedding cake can be duplicated and your limited production wine cannot.

So take your wines straight home, lay them to rest and relax on their sides and let them nap somewhere cool. If you find that you keep more than a few bottles on hand consider purchasing a wine fridge, they are worth the minimal investment and we'd be happy to help you fill one.
